White House sources confirmed today that President Donald Trump has acknowledged the size of the Atlantic Ocean.“The Atlantic is a really big ocean,” the president said while speaking to reporters regarding the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. Critics have said that the president’s response to Hurricane Maria victims in the island territory has been slow compared to those of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in Texas and Florida, respectively.
“You can’t drive there,” the president said.
Previously, sources in the White House had leaked an undisclosed plan by the president to build a “wading wall” on the eastern seaboard of the United States to prevent refugees from walking across the Atlantic on their tippy-toes or driving to the U.S. from Europe, the Middle East, or Africa in vehicles with really big wheels.
When asked, the source declined to compare the size of the ocean with that of the crowd at Trump’s inauguration.
